Edit case or not?
« on: March 21, 2012, 12:26:59 AM »
Hello,

If patient had HMSA, then changed to HMA (in system, patient has 2 cases: HMSA 2010 and HMA 2011) after that he reactived HMSA, should I edit case HMSA 2010 or create new case HMSA 2012 for the patient? (different policy number)

Many thanks,
Kristy

Hi again,

I would like to ask the question in general: that means if the old HMSA case had many charges in the past, we should keep it as it was for archives and create the new HMSA case for the new charges in the present and future. is that right?

I'm sorry if it make you confused.
thank you so much,
Kristy

I don't know about anybody else but I still don't know what HMSA means.

I'm not sure but I think it means Healthcare Maintenance Savings Acct.  Those are policies some employers give patient's similar to a healthcare savings acct but I'm not sure of what's being asked either, as far as my dealings with any healthcare savings acct, the patient is responsible for all submissions, my clients will supply the necessary bills for them to submit.

Yeah, I tried to determine what the HMSA was but it wasn't clear and there weren't enough clues in the post.  That's why I keep asking for a description.  I can't answer the question without knowing what it means.
