THERAPIST RECOMMENDATION LESS THAN PT WANTS

Speech therapist billing with 92507 untimed code.  Therapist recommends pt receives 1 hr therapy based on recent eval and progress.  Parent insists that pt receives 1.5 hours - 2 hours of therapy.  Can ST bill family for the service above and beyond the therapist recommendation and bill the insurance for only the 1 hour therapy based on the recommended treatment plan?

You need to read your contract with the specific carrier.   Some insurance allow and some dont.
