How much to charge a client for Verification Services

What would be a competitive rate or fee that we could charge for Benefits Verifications?

Is it to be a separate service or are you doing billing/full practice management?   I charge flat fee monthly so it's included since the flat fee is based on time.  I never charged for separate services like that, since benefit verification is a part of the reimbursement process (critical part), to me it doesn't make sense to break it out and charge separate.

If you are peforming verification as a seperate service you should factor in the time that it will take plus the cost of your phone line/internet.  Depending on how you verifiy the information will help determine what to charge.  Also will you be verifying before appt or after?
