Box vs. course?

Hi everyone.
Quick question. Has anyone ever used Medical Billing in a Box? Is it thorough in giving what you need to start your home medical billing business? And for medicalbillingcourse.com is it worth the price? If billing in a box has basically the same thing as the cousre, then I'm going with the box because it's more affordable for me right now.

Any thoughts or advice? Suggestions? Please let me know.

Neither will give you everything you need. Never seen Medical billing in a box, doesn't sound very professional to me as i can't see learning any business out of a box, doesn't exist IMHO.   Medical Billing Course is a great course and many of our members have taken it and gone on to succeed, however I believe even they will tell you it's not ALL you need to get started. The one way the course differs from others is the way it is designed for the medical billing company rather than most courses that really don't focus much on the business startup end of things.   But again, there's no way to tell what each person needs, there's no ONE way serves all in this industry. It's fast paced and ever changing and ALL of us (new and old) are still learning and have to stay on with continued educational seminars, books, etc.

I was looking at it from the aspect of the materials you get from each course. I do need somehing that will help with the business setup side of things. And the billing in a box seem to have that. But the billing course has the accreditation of CPB.
It's just the cost that gets me.

I always tell people that the certification given is ONLY as good as the education behind it. It's for you, because doctors really have no clue who any of these companies or associations are. They just want someone competent. I can assign the alphabet to my name and it will never be a second thought to a provider.  In terms of cost, I can't say I look at cost as a priority.. remember that you are looking into starting a business, it's not like selling Avon where you need to purchase your kit and your off and selling. This business is extremely brutal, demanding and requires a good amount of start up capital to do it right. Although I have seen many courses and business opportunities in my career I can honestly say there is NO one that is going to give you everything you need.  If someone told me .. buy this "Open a pizza place in a box" and you'll have everything you need to open a pizza place, I'd surely scratch my head and know that's just not possible. Your dealing with physicians revenue, their bread and butter and government regulations where there is NO room for ignorance... some mistakes can cost you your business, cost your client THEIR practice, and land you in hot water legally.   My advice is to research all of your options and look at the full content of what's offered in terms of education, not cost. I'm not saying to watch your costs, certainly you will need to curve costs to start up, but not on your education, that's the one area you do NOT want to skimp on.   JMHO
