Texas Medicaid and Medicaid HMO'S - Filing deadline

Hi,

I would like to know what would be the filing deadline for the below Scenario

1. If the DOS is 01/01/2012 and if the provider is not enrolled for the dos but if he enroles with Medicaid on 05/01/12 will medicaid process the claims.
2. Will the HMO's follow the same guidelines as Medicaid. :-[ :-[

It's my understanding that if you're not enrolled when the services are performed you won't get paid.  You can file the claim for the denial though.
