Hello,
I have a large prospect practice that I met with 2 months ago, they have been stressing they like and want to work with me. But they are nervous, because they got burned by another billing company. Their current billing company did not follow-up with AR and now they have AR backlog. They told me that their current billing company ask them what do they want to write off, instead of following up with denied claims.
I have been in their office a couple of times, we have been communicated back and forth. They told me that they were looking to move forward the end of June, because that is their year end. The office manager has been business with year end and she is on vacation now. Their AR person emailed me Wednesday and said they have not forgotten about me. We did talk via telephone yesterday. She told me she thinks if I can give the manger and the director an plan of action, they would be comfortable with knowing how the conversion will take place. Any suggestion?
I never had to do an conversion. I spoke to a Medisoft reseller, they told me the conversion would take 2-3 hours and they charge $295 for the conversion. They have a couple of options on how they could complete the conversion. The first one is they could remotely pull the information from the current billing company or I can mail a hard or flash drive to them. The billing company owes the software and the practice has user license. Would the practice be able to pull their information out of the billing companies software, with their user license? I should have asked the Medisoft reseller that , but it just came to me. Do anyone know if a practice has user license, if they could be restricted to some of the information.
Who is responsible for the conversion fee? It cost $2,600 to add another user, which I think is over priced. Would this be an up front fee that they would pay?
They want the be discrete about the transition, until they feel comfortable with me, I do understand that. They ask me yesterday if I could do some of the billing and the other billing company do some. Until we do the conversion. I do not have a problem with that. The only concern that I have is they are a non-profit practice and they need special reports, in which my software cannot produce all the reports that they need. I told them if they decide to sign a contract with me I will purchase Medisoft. The other option I am thinking is to work on the old AR. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we both can work on their billing, without the other billing company knowing.
Thanks for you
