How to determine the billing staff with dollar value

Hi this is the data  I have


Charges – $ 1.4 Million
 
Payments - $ 1.05 Million
 
AR - $ 1 Million
 
I need to determine the no of billing staff required to handle this volume. Is there a standard against which we can compare and determine the staffing. Please Help!!

It's really hard to give you much with that little info.  For example, a surgeon bills much more on a claim than a chiropractor so $1 million for a surgeon is less work.  However, just a VERY ROUGH guess based on those numbers, 9-12 people.  Please remember, VERY ROUGH GUESS.
