90806 POS type Patient Home

Can we bill 90806 with POS type "Patient Home"?

yes I have.  You may have to get precert from the patients insurance.  some you may have to show med. nec. for going to pt home

You can ..but it's a good idea to verify the benefits/pos first, document it and GET AUTHORIZATION. most carriers want a medical necessity letter sent in as to why they can't go to the office.

I have to submit claims Medicare (Novitas Solutions inc). i think no need to get Authorization. correct???

Medicare allows 90806 with POS 12.
