Mammary ductogram or galactogram - Bilateral - Single duct

(1/4) > >>

kellyries1978:
The provider states this was done on a single duct bilaterally- Should this be billed as 77053-26-LT and 77053-26-RT or 77053-26-50 or should this be billed with CPT 77054-26-50?

Here are the definitions I have on the two CPT codes:
CPT 77053 - Mammary ductogram or galactogram, single duct, radiological supervision and interpretation
CPT 77054 - Mammary ductogram or galactogram, multiple ducts, radiological supervision and interpretation

I can not find any information on this anywhere! Thanks for any help you can give me!!

I'm not a certified coder but based solely on your description, since it is a single duct and bilateral it would be 77053 26 50
