Recent versions of Apple's Operating System software allow the user to partition the hard disk and run Apple software off of one partition and PC software off of the other.  So, without knowing more, one could assume the Mac user is accessing Kareo using PC software like the PC users do.  If the Mac is accessing Kareo by using PC software on the Mac, the fact that it is a Mac would be irrelevant.

wannja01 - you might look into whether you can run PC software on your Mac.  If you can, you will have more options if you set up your Mac to run PC software and then use the PC software to access the online medical billing programs.

I was curious so I asked, they are indeed using Parallel's which allows them to run both windows/mac. I think that's what you are talking about Richard. I'm not good with Mac's but once I know they are more compatible with some other important software's I utilize I may consider a switch to get away from Microsoft <g>

RichardP:
Apple used to build its own microprocessor that only ran Apple operating systems.  A few years ago, they started using Intel microprocessors, which allows them to run Windows-based programs (simplified version).  Any compatibility a Mac might have with important software that you are currently running on a PC will be because the Mac is running it in PC emulation mode - using software written by Microsoft.  It has been probably two years since I researched this stuff, so maybe by now Apple is writing the Windows-on-a-Mac software itself.

If you are running business software on a personal (non-mainframe) computer, it's not likely you will ever get very far away from Microsoft - even if you switch to Apple.

Agree, but I think Apple just takes their time and eventually we will have the choice to get away from Microsoft. There is no argument that Apple is not the more superior OS.
