AdvancedMD and Confused

Hi all,

I haven't been faced with this yet but find it interesting.  Is it difficult or confusing to bill remotely using the existing software in a doctors office?  I've worked with about 3 softwares so far but do you find a learning curve with the software before being able to effectively bill using it?

it is always more comfortable to use what you have, but I think if you are computer literate, you should be able to handle any software system that is out there. Most have manuals that you can view. I find a lot of them are very similar in nature that I have used over the years, or have downloaded the trial version when seeking a software to use for my business

I agree with Charlene, if you have used more than one, and don't find it difficult to learn new ones, you should be fine.  I've done it, and didn't have a problem.  Obviously a little hard at first, but quickly learned my way around.

I think it's imperative we learn different softwares.. especially in today's market. Yes there is a learning curve with each one and I've not found any two software alike in regards to operating (features yes, operation NO) they are all different. Being able to work on multiple software's has been the second biggest selling feature to me since so many doctors today do not want to switch softwares or lose their investment.

Wow, this post really shed some light on the software subject for me.   I was looking into AdvancedMD because I've had some potential clients wanting more visibility to whats happening with their claims (even though we let them know that we provide daily, weekly, monthly reports).  So I thought AdvancedMD would be a good option.  Although, the price of the software is a big issue as well.  Its great seeing the flip side of what I have experienced; that offices dont want to use any other software than their own regardless of knowing that it will still give them visibility to the claim statuses.
