if Medicare pays more than Medicaid allows can you charge the pt. the balance or does it need to be written off?

Merry:
You cannot bill a Medicaid recipient unless there is a share of cost. But for Medi-medi just write it off. 

PMRNC:
NY has some Medicaid cost sharing plans where sometimes even with Medicare patients are paying a minimal copay.
