We use an HP laser jet printer at my office, and we had the tech support people for our software remotely access our system to do the print alignment...I was tired after 20 years of doing it myself every time we had a software upgrade installed. You can do it yourself, but what took me hours to do took them less than five minutes.
For the offices I bill for remotely, they use various laser jet printers, and some did the alignment themselves, others had tech support do it. None of us print a lot of claims...only for those rare insurances that don't take electronic claims. If I print five claims a month, that is a lot.
In my home, I have an HP PSC inkjet printer, because I scan more than I print, for my billing work.
