Efficient appointment scheduling/rescheduling

Is your billing team efficient enough in reminding patients on their appointments, office visit co-pays, speciality visit co-pays, deductibles and policy term date?

PMRNC:
I think it's vital for every office to have policies and procedures in place that give a full view of the work-flow process. All my clients do appt reminders and confirmations as that also helps in reminding the patient what their responsibility will be when they come in. I have a few plans that actually require the patient to pre-cert admissions so we have something in place that we give the patient or responsible party a copy of this explanation with the number they have to call to pre-cert. Occasionally we run into blips but many of them are appealable as long as we do our part.
