Accepting Assignment When Non-Par for a Medicare Advantage Plan

Hello,
if our providers participate with Medicare but we don't accept certain Medicare Advantage plans.  Do we still have to check the box for accepting assignment if we don't participate with a Medicare Advantage plan?

Michele:
If you are submitting a claim to a Medicare Advantage Plan that you do not accept or participate with you can check "no" for accepts assignment.  Being a participating Medicare provider does not require you to accept assignment on any of the Advantage Plans.

BWM1:
Is a MC Advantage plan carrier obligated to accept billing for an item that would be covered by MC by any DME in good standing and accredited for that product?
