Flat Fee Billing ?

Hi all,


I just purchased another one of Alice and Michele's wonderful books; How to Price Your Medical Billing Services.

I am currently charging hourly, and ready to move onto flat fee with new clients. My question, do you include credentialing in the flat fee? Like if a provider moves or adds a location and the paperwork needs to be filed and followed up on. Or if after signing on with a provider, you find that eobs and checks are all over the place and need to be sent to one address, etc....

And other routine credentialing updates.

Do you factor this into the monthly fee or charge separately?

My flat fee for practice management is really based on an hourly rate..however i have a separate contact for consulting and that includes credentialing, so they are separate.
