Telephone Psychotherapy

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to code a psychotherapy session if it is over the telephone and 2 hours or longer?
The session is over the standard 1 hour amount, and I can't use the regular office visit CBT codes as the visit is not "face to face."

for non psychiatric providers look at CPT 99968
and for psychiatrists 99443

keep in mind that many carriers do NOT cover this unless there is case management involved because a patient cannot get to the providers office. You also want to make sure you have the right authorization for the telephone visits.
