Billing for Lab Services

We are pain mgmt. and  have an in house Lab for drug screening. Can we bill for the lab service order by the doctor for clinic # 1 even though he is in clinic # 2 on this date of services.

Michele:
As long as clinic 2 is authorized to perform drug testing it doesn't matter if the ordering p-hysician is in rhe same clinic.  Of course the ordering physician must be within their scope of practice to order the drug testing as well.
