Aetna discrimination against 3rd party billers

Aetna is blocking everyone they deem as 3rd party billing.  They are sending us in an automated loop.  I attempted to have our number removed from their blocks but they absolutely refuse.  Has anyone had any luck in getting around this?

We have not had any issues yet.  I haven't even heard of them doing this yet.

I am having the same problem with Blue card. In this particular case I was calling Anthem of CA. I was taken through 4 cycles of this loop and then they hung up on me.

If you have appropriate contracts with your clients, you are a Business associate acting on behalf of the covered entity so when you call any carrier you are acting on their behalf. For liability purposes and the purpose of being compliant with your BAA and contract, you should be contacting carriers on "behalf" of your client.. not as your billing company.
