ICD 10 diagnosis - Needed !!!

Can anyone suggest me the ICD 10 diagnosis to be billed on this Scenerio (Pt came for Testicle Lump . It testicle lump , no Pain associated with Lump . Pt noticied in 1 week)


Note: Billed with DX (R19.00) got denied by BCBS insurance as not covered dx .

I would start by looking at N50.8 and go from there.

The problem with the code that was selected is that it is unspecified as to site...and you know the site is in the testicle, and further, it is for abdomen/pelvis, and I would argue that a testicle is not part of the abdomen or pelvis.

Be aware that while CMS gave a one year grace period for using unspecified codes, that other insurances are not doing the same. You must avoid unspecified codes like R19.00, when a more specific code is available to you.
