Thank you again so much. I work with posters who are adminant about telling me that it is fraudulent to run a cc for the same patient on the same day no matter what the circumstance. I have 5 years billing experience in other facilities and we always ran credit cards sometimes for two charges on the same day. Just needed to know this for my own piece of mind  :P ;D

I am trying to figure out why they would think that it is fraudulent...it doesn't make sense to me. I mean, what if you go to the same grocery store twice in one day, and want to use the same credit card to pay both times? This kind of thing happens all the time. I think they have been misinformed, and aren't thinking about it logically. Or, maybe there is an internal rule about it in the practice/facility, that they are following, that has nothing to do with fraud, but that is what they were told, and just believed it.
