Fee to Enroll as a Medicare Provider?

Christy:
I've billed Medicare for years, and done PECOS updates, etc.  But I have never done a new enrollment.

When enrolling a new provider (for example, a LCSW in private practice)  does Medicare charge an application fee? If yes, what is the fee?

I am reading conflicting stuff on the internet.

No fee for that type of provider. There are fees for institutional providers, and for DME suppliers.
