Good question, I've been doing websites for just about as long as I've been in business doing and billing and the answer is that it depends on the content of your website. Your website should be an extension to the other marketing efforts. It should also serve current clients and potential clients a like, too much information and then your just feeding all the other medical billing companies and not paying attention to YOUR market. After content it's extremely important to focus on SEO and that goes right along with content as your website content is the foundation to which SEO is built upon. Do you have integration with a contact management software or newsletter/blog? Does your site entice visitors to engage via social media? If so make sure you are regularly reaching out to your market with updates, news, and anything else they might want to see. Information sells, too much information fails. Many think "If you build it, they will come" Not even close. On the average you can spend approximately 3-5 hours a week just "engaging" and another 2 hours a week overseeing stats, and making sure you stay up on latest technology to which delivers your website. (Websites should now be responsive, mobile friendly, social media integrated, etc.) Websites are not just for sales, you want visitors to come back and stay engaged so you want "features" to keep them engaged.
