can these two be billed together? recvd denial C0B14 on the G0439, I thought these could be billed together?

Confused...Medicare doesn't cover 99397, that is for commercial insurances. How did that get paid?

I agree, the 99397 is the E&M code for a physical for 65 and over. Medicare doesn't cover this. They do cover an annual physical under the code G0439. These two codes aren't billed together.

Exactly what I was thinking. One or the other, based on insurance patient has, but not both at the same time. I bill for an IM doctor, and I have never seen those two codes billed together.

thanks all I took this back to our coder, who stated she didn't catch that, the doctor entered the wrong code and when fixed they never voided the 99397.
