: Lytec Reports Help

When I run the Practice Analysis Report in Lytec (I'm using 2015 but I think it is the same for most versions) on the last page is a heading called Adjustments and under this heading are the sub-headings Debit, Credit, Refunds, and Chargebacks. My question: where does the figure for the amount under Debit come from?   Thanks!

In Lytec you can set up adjustments as debit adjustments or credit adjustments.  The debit adjustment option is not common so you may never have seen a need for it.  Sometimes we use that if we are moving a credit from one visit to another where there has been an overpayment.

Thanks for your reply. I am seeing an amount there in my reports and I'm sure it is like you say, my biller is making an adjustment. My question is, if I look at the section above the Adjustments it gives a breakdown of the payments from Patient and Insurance. To get a total figure for payments I add Patient Payments and Insurance Payments but does that figure under "DEBITS" in the Adjustments section impact the actual total? There is a productivity bonus amount that is based on total payments and I want to make sure that I am using an accurate figure by just using the Payments section or if I need to subtract the amount under DEBITS. Thanks for your help.

Is the amount under Debits a large amount?  It usually would not be something used often.  If it is a large amount you may want to dig further to find out what it is.  But based on what you are describing I do not think it would impact the productivity bonus.

I am pretty sure it is from Charge Adjustments that were done to zero out accounts. We were trying to clean-up some accounts and an Adjustment Charge was used and it looks like it shows up in the Debit column. If that's the case then it does not impact the payments that came in, so as you said, will not impact the productivity bonus. Thanks again for your assistance!
