: Billing for Drug Testing
: pwoceo March 03, 2009, 08:13:11 PM
I noticed that Cpt Code 80100 is a retired code and I am hoping that somebody out their can help me with figuring out what code to bill for.  We are a new drug testing company focusing on PIP insurance billing through our Chiropractor offices.  We have already done over 30 tests and I just need to know what code to bill for.

Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated.

I have never done that type of billing, but Medicare doesn't show the code inactive.

I'm also not aware of that code being retired.  However, according to what you are describing you might want to look at the 80101, with a unit for each drug class being tested.
