We are trying to get matrix for our billing department; we have heard 1 biller for 3 full time physicians
and some numbert of visits per biller; of course we have to take into consideration they type of clinic, how we do business there are so many varibles.  Any suggestions; we are a Community Clinic and see about 200,000 patients a year our major line of business Medicaid and Fpact.

This would be hard to say without more specifics. You say 200,000 patients a year, but is that the number of visits billed, or the number of patients treated?  How many physicians seeing patients?  Full time, part time?

We have 35 license clinicians ; in other places I have worked it has been 3 fte clinican to 1 biller
some 12-15 thousand per visits; we bill mostly Fpact and Medi-HMO.

I have heard of the 1 to 3 before, but personally I feel that a biller can handle more than 3 FT providers if that is their only job.  Billing, Follow-Up, Payment Entry, Patient Billing, etc.
