Hey Charlene,

Just wondering what your clients are doing to prepare for the implemention of CMS CR 6421 - the new requirement that all referring providers must be enrolled in PECOS or the claim with be denied.

I read that the CMS is going to release a file showing what providers are enrolled in PECOS. And of course, there's always the possibility that CMS may delay the deadline. Right now the deadline is 01/04/2010.

However, I want be sure that we're ready for this change. It seems pretty drastic since the PECOS system is fairly new and most providers don't even know about it.
