: Medicare Reprocessing Claims
: aajkaal January 11, 2019, 02:11:56 AM
I received ERAs with $0 payment where ERA shows the past claims processed which were already paid when processed for the first time. I checked Novitasphere and found that claims were received again on a specified date. I have not sent the claims for sure.
Anyone had similar experience ?

Are you saying that you only sent the claim one time but it was denied as a dup but Medicare shows it was sent twice?

We have had claims that we only submitted one time get duplicated within the clearinghouse.  I'm not sure if that is what is happening here, but it may be.

I got paid after the first processing and I closed it at my end. They again processed it and gave me $0 ERA. This is not about payment. The question is why they are processing second time if I have not asked for it. It is not just one claim, they have reprocessed 50+.

Medicare reprocessed due to the new EOB recvd. Processing is done so that PR is reflected correctly in the new ERA.

Are you saying you figured out why they were reprocessed?

Yes, correct.
