Hi Michele,
I would like to get some advice on how to get started on social work billing. I decided to try this specialty since I am a newbie, and social work seems easy to learn. Realistically speaking, how many patients does a licensed social worker see in a day and how much should I expect to bill for one full-time social worker in a month? The reason I ask is because I have purchased a web-based billing software which charges a minimum $ a month for clearinghouse fees, so I want to make sure if I should use this software for a private practice social worker or use a different billing software so I won't be paying out of my own pocket and not make any money at all. I can use the web-based software for bigger accounts maybe?
Thanks for your advice in advance.

If it is a full time social worker they usually see between 6-8 patients a day and usually work 4-5 days a week. 8 patients a day would mean a minimum of 8 hour days. Some are very ambitious and see 8 a day and work 5 days. Some don't like to push it.
Good luck
Michele
