I am working in the office of one of my clients through the end of this month (they were my previous employer, now a client). Another optometry office called us for patient records and somehow our front desk receptionist got into a conversation with them about Medicaid patients. Apparently they're charging their Medicaid patients for no show fees, which here in Michigan, is illegal!
So, I took it upon myself to contact the doctor. He called me back and was thankful I told him, I emailed him a link where he could see for himself, etc. Then HE asked me for my pricing information, etc. I didn't even have to ask! He currently uses a third party biller and I told him I was concerned because if they are over looking THIS, which to my knowledge, is commonly known by Medicaid Providers, what else are they overlooking?
So, I just might have a new client due to someone else's mistake and being at the right place at the right time :)
That is all! lol :P

Good for you! And it sounds like you made that call because it was the RIGHT thing to do, not just to get a client. The universe was kind to you!
I love hearing about people doing the right thing. I'm sure you were a little nervous just cold calling the doctor to say "Hey, you can't do that". It could have gone SO bad SO easily. But sometimes the RIGHT thing isn't necessarily the EASY thing!
I'm proud of you!

Yes, I wasn't even really trying to get a new client! He's a new doctor and I figured he was probably clueless. He was very thankful for my call, as he didn't want to land in prison :P I told him all it would take was person to call and complain about it!
Thank you! :D
