I was in a Russian hospital Lahta in St Petersburg for 4 days while traveling.  GeoBlue Travel Medical Insurance paid the entire claim of $6950 except for a $50 deductable.  I also have BCBSTX health insurance.  I notified both insurance companies of the dual insurance for this claim.   How should BCBSTX book this claim.  Should the entire $6950 be credited against my BCBSTX Out of Pocket Max?

Thanks......Tim

I am curious to know how this would be handled as I have never come across such a situation. Therefore, I am leaving a reply here so that I will get to know when someone responds. Thanks.

I am unfamiliar with how this would be handled but if I had to guess I would say only the $50 would go to the out of pocket.  I would contact BCBSTX and ask.

No the entire bill should not be applied to out of pocket as it's not really out of pocket, but they may pay the $50 deductible for you.
