What are consultation codes for second opinion for surgery?

What is the cpt code range of consultation codes for billing a second opinion for back surgery?  And for Texas worker comp would they reimburse more than the allow amount of the fee schedule?

Hi Rosa,

   The cpt codes for second opinions are the same as the consultation codes,
99241 - 99245.  I'm not aware of workers comp reimbursing any more than the fee schedule for a second opinion.  They go by the cpt code billed, not by what it is for.
