This is the first time I have ran into this. We have a patient which is having a skin cancer removed by 1 surgeon, and then directly after will have a carpal tunnel done by a hand surgeon within our ambulatory surgery center. Can someone give me guidance on how to properly bill the doctors charges and also how would I bill for the ASC (1 claim with all CPTs or 2 claims dividing the procedures?).

Wow, two surgeries but one day? I have not encountered that either. If the doctors/surgeons are billing under different billing information (EIN/Tax ID, NPIs, etc) there shouldn't be a problem. As for the ASC, that is trickier. I believe I would do it as two separate claims.
