I'm assuming you are asking how one would evaluation the ambulance transportation billing procedures.....   I would say that it would be the same as evaluation any medical billing procedures.  You need to make sure the billing is going out timely, with minimal errors, and coded properly.  You also need to make sure payments are posted timely, denials are worked, aging reports are worked, and clearing house reports are reviewed.  All of that has to be done timely as well.  If codes are being denied regularly you need to determine if there is a coding issue.

Are you a biller?  Are you looking to become a biller?

When we talk about credentialing, does a Home Health Agency (HHA) needs to get enrolled with Medicaid first in order to apply for a Medicaid Waiver Program? If yes is there an additional fee for that particular application ? I would really appreciate if someone can shed some light on this ?

The information that I'm seeing states you would need to be enrolled with Medicaid first.  It does not indicate a separate enrollment fee is required.  But to be safe I would recommend calling them to ask.  800-843-6154
