: Client not paying
: Cpatel June 30, 2020, 06:24:27 PM
Hello, I have a small client whose license was not renewed and as a result payers have terminated the practice. So we lost the client with past due one invoice. It's been 4 months now but provider is not paying saying she does not have any money. If anyone have suggestions on how to handle this situation, then please share here.

Thank you.

why did you accept a client with a not renewed license? ( i don't think you can do anything . Because if she really doesn't have any money than you have nothing to take from her . You should try to collaborate with a medical billing company (http://"https://fortismedicalbilling.com/asc/") to avoid such problems .

I'm assuming she let her license expire and did not do what was necessary to renew.  Even if you have a contract your only option is to take them to court.  If they don't have any income any more then it is unlikely they will pay you.  So strange that they would not renew, unless they had something that they thought would cause them to not be renewed.

So sorry!

do not continue cooperation with this client or give a period until which you will have to pay so that the license is not terminated

Count your loss by quitting them and get yourself a collection agency. Pure and simple. I have done this and sued many clients over the years. It happens. It has to be a two-way street.
