Hello,

Need Help:
Is this box now a requirement for each claim or still leave blank.

Thanks

I have not used box 15 as of yet and no problems so far.   If you have used box 15 in the past, I would continue.

I keep getting mailbacks from BCBS stating a date must be in box 15 and half the time there is already a date listed.  Something that will hopefully be worked out soon cause apparently they are not recognizing it on the new claim forms.

Sounds to me like it is a BCBS issue on their end.

I am having the same issue with the mailbacks from BCBS - I have talked to Network Management about the issue and they state its on our end.  Until I get with our clearing house (because this just started happening with the new claim forms) I have been taking out the date in box 15 and when required just putting it in box 14 and so far no more mailbacks.

I like the ides of going to the ch when there is an issue like this.  You can often get the answers faster as they research and other clients of theirs would probably be having the same issue.

Yes. I would think the same way. It appears to be a mapping issue that has not been set up between the billing software and the electronic format of the claims that CH uses to submit claims. Please check with the CH.
