Hello
Can someone recommend a free Clearing House?
In my search, I've found a couple but the payers I need to bill to are not included in their payer's list, so they will charge the standard rates.
Thanks for your help

I'm afraid that there are very few free clearinghouses anymore. We used one for years and it was great. There are however several that are reasonably priced. We are currently using ClaimMD. We pay about $100 per month for unlimited claims and providers and they are AMAZING!

Im about to try Office Ally as a free clearing house. I'll be having an hours training this week and will see how user friendly it is and report back :-)

We used OA for many years. They are reasonable. Free if less than 50% are government plans (Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, etc).

ClaimMD is now charging per provider. Does anybody know of a cheaper or better clearinghouse option? How does ClaimMD compare to OfficeAlly?
Thank you in advance for your response.

We were disappointed when ClaimMD raised their rates, but they are still for us, hands down the best clearinghouse we've used. Our fees went up 800% but we are sticking with them. Years ago, insurance carriers used to pay the clearinghouses to receive the claims electronically. Now everyone is submitting electronically so it's no longer necessary. The clearinghouses have to make up for that loss of revenue. Compared to other clearinghouses, they are still cost effective.
We used to use Office Ally and we were happy with them. We switched to ClaimMD when Office Alley raised their rates. Even with the ClaimMD rate increase we are paying less than we would be with Office Ally, AND we were blown away by the differences. ClaimMD is by far the better, at least for us. We are able to better track our actions, find our rejections, etc. I can't say enough about ClaimMD (and they don't pay me!). I haven't used OA in a few years, but as of the last time I used them I definitely prefer ClaimMD. JMO
