I have a new client that has been using outdated procedure codes. For instance, the one they were using to bill steroid injections is incorrect. Well.... I am not a coder and I have no idea. I am trying to update their superbill and I am thinking I need to get some coding books. I see know they have online resources as well. Anyone have any advice/suggestions on what they use regularly for these types on things in the billing capacity.
AND.... is the injection and the drug coded together under 1 code??? :'(

No. Administration of injection is one code. There is a separate code for what you pushed into the person with the injection. You need a CPT Handbook. Google on that phrase and you will find lots of offerings.
