: E-Prescribing

Does anyone know if E-Prescribing applies to board & care & skilled nursing facilities visits (90801, 90862) or just office visits?  Board & Care & SNFs are considered outpatient so I wasn't sure.  Thanks for your help

Not sure what you mean.  Are you asking about drs that are referring patients for skilled nursing facilities?  E-Prescribing is for prescriptions (I thought??).

Physicians are exempt if they have at least 100 instances of eligible patient encounters for e-prescribing, such as an office evaluation and management visit, between Jan. 1 and June 30.
Do board and care visits qualify as office visits since they are classified as outpatient?

I am not sure.  They are E&M codes so it's possible, but you need to check with CMS.
