HELP! HAVING A BRAIN FREEZE DUE TO LENGTH OF TIME... I NEED TO BILL A 90837 (MENTAL HEALTH) W/A CRISIS CODE OF 90840  WHAT MODIFIERS SHOULD I USE W/THESE CODES??? HAVENT HAD TO BILL ONE IN YRS!!!THANX

If you are billing a 90840 then you would want to look at the 90839 in place of the 90837.  The 90839 is for a crisis and is for the first 60 minutes.  The 90840 is an add on for each additional 30 minutes and doesn't require a modifier.
