Paitent
« on: February 12, 2021, 01:20:48 PM »
The physician I work for owns his office.  He is contracted to work in the local.
He is working in the ER and one of his office patients calls him on his cell phone.  He then calls me and tells me to charge a telehealth visit for the office patient.
Can he do this while working for the ER?

I don't believe this is a problem.  I guess it would depend on if he works as a subcontractor or if he's paid hourly.  I don't think there is a legal issue.  It would be if his employer has a problem with him working while he's working.
