47562 PAID BY MEDICARE
47001 NOT PAID - CANNOT BILL SEPARATELY. WROTE THIS OFF.
SECONDARY PAID FOR THE 47001- IS PATIENT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DEDUCTIBLE & COINSURANCE THAT THEY STATE FOR THIS EVEN THOUGH I HAD WRITTEN IT OFF ?
PLEASE REFRESH MY MEMORY ??

Sorry, I have been out for a week with a death in the family. When you say secondary paid for the 47001, did they pay or allow it? It looks like it went to the deductible. Anyway, I believe you are only able to charge the patient the amount that Medicare states is patient responsibility.

sorry to hear about the death in your family, I went through that just two weeks ago.
Total charge was 1950.00 They paid 943.98 - The Eob from secondary bc states 1006.02 deductible coinsurance due. This was a crossover claim from Medicare. Medicare eob stated - this service/report 47001 cannot be billed separately, so I wrote it off, bc came back and paid the 943.98. Don't know whether to balance bill the patient or not Michelle ? What would you do or suggest. I called bc and they stated they can't tell me whether to charge the patient or not. lol really !!!!!!!

What did Medicare pay and what was the PR on the MEOB? Sorry, just not enough info to be sure.
