My apologies. I am in the process of starting my medical billing business. However, I seem to be caught up with obtaining certifications, in both fields medical billing and coding. Do you think this is necessary?

JMHO - If you feel you need the education yes, but if you're an experienced biller, not really.  :)

I have operated my billing service for over 25 years.  I am not certified in either billing or coding, and I have never been asked by a provider if I am certified.  IMO it certainly doesn't hurt to be certified, but for what I have done it has not been needed.
