What do you mean by "billing alerts"?  I have been billing for over 25 years and I'm not familiar with that term.

Michelle - Amazon Web Service and Google Cloud Platform perform services for their users for a fee.  It is possible to get caught up in using these services and exceed the usage threshold that you've paid for.  Therefore, it is possible to set up "billing alerts" when you have used up your alloted time / data / whatever you've paid for.  That lets the user know that, if they keep using the service, they will incur an additional charge.

Google on "AWS billing alerts"  or "GCP billing alerts".

I do not know any Electronic Medical Records / Medical Billing software that operates in the same manner, charge-wise.

Thanks Richard.  With that being said does the question make sense?  Even with your explanation I don't understand what they are asking.  Billing Alerts may be helpful, but would they "determine your revenue cycle"?   ???

When it opens, click on the top of the page and search for "alerts".  A little past half-way down, you should find this line:  "Patient info and billing alerts in StrataEMR (Source)"

I opened that link and searched on "alerts".  The only hit I got was "Medicare compliance alerts".

So - it appears that different EMRs have "alerts" that one can set for various things.  Each different alert would have its own criteria for when the alert would be triggered.

Billing Alert for Revenue Cycle?  An alert that goes off when revenue gets too low, so that you know to start upcoding???  :o

Thanks.  The information on the billing alerts is interesting, but I agree.  Not sure how they would "determine your revenue cycle".
