: TerriTye June 12, 2014, 03:05:41 PM
I need some help.....again, lol.

My physician is doing heart caths, echos and stress tests in the hospital.

I am having a hard time finding out how to bill a stress test with lexiscan. Does anyone know how to do this?

I'm thinking I would use 93016 and 93018, but was told there is a code to show the lexiscan? Help!!!

See if any of these help:

3.  Should hospital outpatient departments report HCPCS code J2785 on claim forms for procedures during which Lexiscan was administered?

Answer:
Yes. Even though Lexiscan is no longer paid separately by Medicare in the hospital outpatient department setting, CMS encourages providers to continue to report J2785 on Medicare claim forms when Lexiscan is administered to the patient. According to guidance from the CMS, hospitals should report charges for all drugs, biologicals, and radiopharmaceuticals, regardless of whether the items are paid separately, using the correct HCPCS codes for the items used.
