I have a dr who is considering offering HIV & Hep C testing. He asked me to do a little research for him. I'm having a terrible time finding the correct codes to point him to for Medicare. The G0432, G0433 & G0435 (for HIV) seem to be the only ones out there but Medicare says that those are not Medicare codes?? I'm left scratching my head. So after a couple hours I'm throwing it out to all you awesome people. Anyone know which codes are currently acceptable (CPT or HCPCS) for either HIV or Hep C testing??

Here's what I come up with. Hep C look at 86803 and 86804
HIV has several 86689, 86701, 86702, 83703, 87534, 87535, 87536, and 87390. Here's a good document on coding for HIV testing: http://www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/aids/Documents/GLines-CodingHIVTest.pdf
Hope this helps :)

That's funny! I found that same document. It is good. Thanks for the help. I got tired of going round and round. I'll take a look at those too.
