HCPCS for Developmental Disability - NY

Hello Everyone,
I"m working on a project with my IT team and they asked me if there are procedure codes that I could use in place of the standard revenue code provided by the state for the purpose of mapping internally under our developmental disability programs. I am not familiar with DD billing so I did a search and not much data comes up.

For those of you that are familiar with DD billing would it be possible to use HCPCS codes in place of revenue codes only for the purpose of internal mapping for reporting?

I am really not sure what they are asking for, but I have not heard of HCPCs being used in place of rev codes.
