If a billing company has 5 providers and each provider files 35 claims a day, thats 175 claims a day total... how many billers should be on staff to check eligibility, enter demographics, enter the billing information and transmit the claim and follow up for claim status, post payments, send 2nd claims and or bill the patient... from A-Z.. doing everything how many people should I hire to effectively service these 5 providers.

At that level you should be able to do it by yourself.  You'll have a long full day, every day, but 5 providers isn't enough business for many employees.

That kind of claim volume is def low enough you could do it yourself, even if the practice grew, but I'd also say it's going to depend on your experience, naturally the more experienced you are the faster you will work.  If you got employee's for that little bit of volume you really won't make any profit until you double the workload.. even then. .MAYBE.
