: aiken2017 October 18, 2019, 02:59:17 PM
Hi All,

I have been getting a denial for CPT 99223  denial CO107,  COA1 with the remark N30.

Could somebody please help me.  I thought it was a modf situation but if that is the case I am slightly lost on which modf to use. the patient do not have any other DOS with us.

Thank you

HL

Is the remark code N30 or N300?  What does it say for the description of N30?

Is the admission date on the claim?

It may be that another physician already billed for the admission.  But without seeing the denial descriptions it's hard to tell.

I don't know if you found an answer to your question, but I can tell you that remark code N30 means "Patient ineligible for this service".  It could be that either another provider/facility billed for the inpatient eval already or that your practice already billed for one.

Also, you can use http://www.wpc-edi.com/reference to view Healthcare Code Lists which gives you both Claim Adjustment codes and Remit Advice Codes. Hope that helps.
